SUN MEDALLION

Long time no post! Tryin' to finally get back into tha swing of things. Today I have a sorta funky outfit for you...and the funny thing is that I wore it on Easter, haha! Josh & I went with our friend Michelle to a popular rhododendron garden in our city, and there were so many cute families picnicking in all pastels. I must've looked like some sort of weird evil witch, lol.

Leggings & top are by Romwe!

~Here's the song that inspired my post~
(Mostly cause  Sunflowers remind me of little medallions!)

Hat by Bang Good.

Made this necklace myself! :3

Shall by Vesst! I really really love their stuff, they have a lot of cheap black shit, which I am deff. all about.

BON LOOK

((I've had a super long hiatus from this blog, and moved back and forth a lot...but I'm happy to announce I'm back in a location where I'll be able to take photos for Faltering Bird!))

As the first day of spring is right around the corner (which I am counting the days until!), the weather is warming up. Which means sunglasses season is just around the corner!

And I have something pretty unfortunate to admit--I look awful in most sunglasses. While most of my friends sport attractive, well fitting sunglasses, I succumb to squinting in the sunlight all spring and summer long. Why? Because I can NEVER find a pair that fits my face! And I know I can't be the only one--there must be others out there who trade looking lame in sunglasses for an eye straining headache! (Raise your hand, I know you're out there!)

This probably wouldn't be as much of an issue if I liked shopping in person, but frankly, shopping at real stores is hella nerve-wracking for a lot of people, myself included. Why brave the mall when you can shop from the comfort of your own home in your PJ's?!

And then, I came upon BON LOOK. They sell glasses/ sunglasses, and have this nifty option of uploading a photo of yourself to try glasses on with--finally, I can buy sunglasses that look nice on me without having to step out the front door! It's a pretty neat way to see about what something is going to look like on you, before you buy it! When I first saw this I thought "Oh no, it's going to be lame!" but nope--the Virtual Try On works super well!

The best part is that they also have a section where you can shop for glasses based upon your face shape, rather than just browsing the whole website. What shape of face do you have? I didn't even realize there WERE different shapes like this until now...probably why I've been buying the wrong glasses my whole life.

Anyway, this website is super rad and I'm excited to finally get a nice pair of sunnies that don't look like crap on me! Hope you all can find something that suits you, too! <3

HAPPY NEW YEAR // MERRY CHRISTMAS // HAPPY HOLIDAYS

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Here's the song that inspired this post, "Sleepwalking" by Chain Gang of 1974.

I feel like a lot of people make New Year's resolutions, but I'm never really honestly sure what to make mine. To eat more vegetables and be healthier? To be a nicer person and less angry? To appreciate things before you're already at the finish line and it's too late? I don't think I could ever pick just one. Because really, we're all works of art in the making, and we're far from our final brushstroke. There's so many things to work on, for all of us, and I don't want to rope myself into thinking I should just focus on one thing. I think I'm just going to take things as they come.

On New Years day I had a strange dream. I'm not sure what it meant, or if it meant anything at all. But I was surrounded by all my friends and family, and I guess the world  was coming to an end, and for some reason everyone had to jump through portals to escape to another world. (lol). In the end, there wasn't enough energy for everyone to pass through, so me and my boyfriend Josh stayed behind because he was injured. We sat out in the yard of my childhood home with one of my cats, Saber, and waited for it to all end. We heard a low but loud rumble, and all the earth started falling away into nothing. For one short moment, there was nothing, and everything was one and the same, everything was pure and white. Then everything snapped back to normality--just the same as it had always been. And all across the earth, everyone who had been left behind heard a voice that said:

"Every ending is a beginning."

I look gross in this one but everyone else looks cute so oh well! :P

Me & Ariel!

Some of these are kind of blurry, sorry! Although I feel like that's how a good portion of the party remembers this night anyway, so it's probably more accurate, haha.

All swagged out! Let's go to sleep, now...

...and close the door to 2013....
